Your Solar System, Based on Your Needs
Grid-Tied
A solar system that produces power that is fed into your electrical system and used on location or sold back to the utility grid.
Grid-Tied with Battery Backup
A grid-tied system with the addition of a small battery bank to supply power during outages.
Off-Grid
A solar system that charges batteries to provide all of the power needs of a particular building.
Abundant Solar systems are designed around your needs—not our agenda. You won’t find a pushy sales team or recommendations you don’t want. Every system is unique to your location, energy use, and goals. Once we understand your vision, we design a solar solution tailored to you because we want you to love your system as much as we enjoy building it.

Keep the Lights On When the Grid Goes Down
When the grid goes down, a battery system keeps your home running smoothly. As your home draws power from stored energy, your solar system replenishes it — giving you steady, reliable backup when you need it most. Abundant Solar has years of experience installing a wide range of battery products and is your local expert in design, installation, and long-term maintenance.
Common Misconceptions About Solar Power
Solar is too expensive.
Solar is an investment that pays for itself over time. We are seeing a return on investment in 6 to 10 years.
Solar doesn’t work in Oregon.
Even on cloudy days, solar power is still being generated; while production may be down, you can use banked excess energy generated in the summer months, when there was more sun.
Solar doesn’t help global energy production.
Solar is now the most affordable form of new energy production. Solar electricity costs less than $20 per megawatt-hour in several regions, cheaper than coal or natural gas almost everywhere. By 2050, most experts expect electricity grids to run almost entirely on renewables.
Solar won’t power my house or cars.
We know from personal experience and our clients’ experiences that your solar system will power your home, cars, and business. Net zero is absolutely possible.
